The Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a visa-free agreement between Mongolia and Argentina has been implemented. As of February 19th this year the visa-free agreement between both countries has come into force. The Argentinian and Mongolian governments signed a document on August 31st, 2017 in Busan, the Republic of Korea, in a bid to strengthen bilateral relations. Under this visa-free agreement, citizens of Mongolia are granted a stay of up to 90 days in Argentina without a visa.
Back in March 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Argentina held their first political consultations in Ulaanbaatar. During these consultations, both countries discussed the different opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, trade, commercial relations, and humanitarian relations. Argentina and Mongolia discussed the potential for collaborating especially in the agricultural sector. Argentina has implemented certain programs, including improving the technology of a dairy production in Indonesia, as well as animal hygiene and immunization in Cambodia.

Mongolian citizens can now travel to Argentina under the visa-free agreement signed by both countries. Mongolia joins in 86 other nations that can travel to Argentina visa-free for a period of up to 90 days. Argentinian citizens have visa-free or visa on arrival access to 158 countries.
